Every Building built before the year 2000 needs to have an Asbestos Survey report completed and be at hand when workman come onto a premises. The Asbestos survey report is used as a management document and if Asbestos is prescent on you building, you need to manage how you look after it. Asbestos is a silent killer and needs to be identidfied before working on any suspect material.    By taking samples of the suspect material, this confirms or elimanates what the material is contaning Asbestos or not and then you can manage what to do with it.

#  You also need an Asbestos survey report when you are selling a property built before the year 2000 or if you are going to Let a simular property. 

If you own, occupy, manage or have responsibilities for Non- Domestic premises which may contain Asbestos, you will either have;

  1. A legal duty to manage the risk from the material, or
  2. A duty to Co-Operate with whoever manages that risk
